About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

Being interested in Economics, I started to conduct independent research, however, I discovered that many of the sources that I consulted failed to make me understand even the simplest of concepts. Realizing that this wasn't only my personal problem, but an issue experienced by millions my age, I decided to create a platform wherein I would share my economics knowledge in an understandable way.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

My organization, Finomic, is a website that offers a range of understandable articles related either to economics, or to applicable finances. The goal of each article is to help struggling youth around the world by teaching them concepts in a way that everyone understands. We offer articles based on vigorous research of reliable sources, or sometimes personal experiences that may be relatable to many of our readers. Through these articles, we want to show our peers that financial illiteracy is not something to be ashamed of, and that there are opportunities for them to broaden their knowledge, no matter their location. Currently, I am alsoworking on offering free IB Economics courses on my website, and free Economics seminars to Georgian students.

How has it been spreading?

So far, my website has been viewed internationally from more than 15 countries, including India, Italy, Australia, Switzerland, Argentina, and so forth. This has been done by advertisements on our Instagram page, which made our page gain more than 100,000 views.

If I want to try it, what should I do?
