Family Festival Land without borders

Every child is unique in its diversity

It tries to solve the problem of limited access to cultural and creative content by offering free content for children and families where designers of imagine spaces are children. It deals with challenges in education related to better connection of institutions, participatory models with participants and local community, which tends to reduce social fragmentation.

this Festival welcomes and educates individuals of various backgrounds, abilities and ages to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and abilities and present them in a public space. Participants mature and grow up through it- from workshop attendees they become volunteers, workshop leaders, start families and their children are involved in the Festival's programs again.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

It was launched with the aim of including vulnerable groups of children and youth from the Social-Therapeutic Community on an equal basis with other children and youth in order to promote social inclusion and diversity and to promote local networking and active citizenships.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

It creates spaces for the imaginative creation of something New, inspiring, woven from children's ideas that connect in generational creativity, realizing an intercultural dialogue of the entire community. Parks and streets become a kind of Dream City where you are surprised by the incredible power of childhood, play and imagination imprinted on your senses. Such an interdisciplinary approach of the Festival goes beyond the limits of the traditional festival format. The community and the audience are involved through interactive campaigns, artistic interventions in the community, participatory workshops that shape the content and organization of the Festival.It includes educational workshops and activities on topics designed by children and young people, which are aimed at all generations. Through creative workshops and interactive sessions, the Festival encourages innovative thinking and provides a platform for developing creative solutions to social problems.

It stands out in the public perception due to its strong commitment to inclusivity and diversity, free participation and participatory model. It puts global issues into its programs and becomes a place not only for entertainment, but also a platform for education and social awareness. It approach through collaboration with local artists and organizations fosters a strong sense of community, elevating it above the traditional consumer experience. The impact of it goes beyond the event itself with constant initiatives and collaborations throughout the year, keeping it in the public's mind as a catalyst for positive change. The unique brand of the Festival emphasizes its innovative and inclusive nature which sets it apart from other cultural events and becomes replicable in other communities.

It is conducted according to the participatory and experiential model of all involved participants who have the task of creating an event that conveys important messages. Its became the largest family continental Festival in Croatia.
