Empowering young innovators in India to solve real-world challenges through entrepreneurship.

ENpower, a Member in NFTE’s Global Innovation Network focused on the World Series of Innovation, empowers students in India (ages 5–24) to ideate and build solutions to global SDG challenges. Through entrepreneurship, design thinking, and problem-solving, the program nurtures future-ready changemakers who drive positive social impact.

This initiative builds young innovators who tackle local and global challenges, especially in underserved communities. We aim to embed entrepreneurship and innovation mindsets in education so students can transform society. Through WSI powered by ENpower, we shift learning toward agency, creativity, and problem-solving, empowering youth to drive equitable, resilient community innovation.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

India’s youth have ideas, ambition, and empathy, but limited structured pathways to turn ideas into solutions for society. ENpower participates in this Program to nurture innovative mindsets and empower students to solve real SDG-linked challenges early in life.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

Students participate in NFTE’s World Series of Innovation, focused on the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ENpower contextualizes content, trains educators, and facilitates entrepreneurship-based learning for Indian students.
We support students through design thinking sessions, challenge-breakdown workshops, industry mentor interactions, and employee-volunteer sessions (e.g., Aramco). Students develop and present solutions; selected teams enter NFTE’s global innovation stage.
Evidence of success includes increased student participation, quality of submissions, improved entrepreneurial competencies, and shortlisted finalists that advance to the challenge’s future rounds.

How has it been spreading?

To date, the World Series of Innovation (WSI) has engaged over 56,000 young people worldwide, with 15,174 innovations submitted and 328 Innovation Days hosted.
It spread organically through teachers, NGOs, ministries, and entrepreneurship networks seeking accessible youth innovation programs. The last two years have seen rapid uptake across India through ENpower, which helped contextualize materials, facilitated in-person workshops, and promoted visibility in schools, universities, and entrepreneurship hubs. Globally, participation has doubled, new regional competitions have launched, and corporations have expanded sponsorship to support learners as young as 5 years old. Our goals for the next 3 years include regional editions, platform localization, increased mentor engagement, and national-level integration in partner countries.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

Visit innovation.nfte.com to register your organization or students. ENPower, as an NFTE GIN Member, helps schools deploy the model locally through training and localized facilitation. Educators can host workshops, support student teams, and help finalize submissions. For implementation guidance, contact globalprograms@nfte.com.
