Through EduKid, the change we hope to see in education is a transformative shift towards greater accessibility, equity, and opportunity for all children, regardless of their socioeconomic background. We envision a future where poverty-stricken children in Bangladesh and beyond have equal access to quality English education, empowering them to break free from the cycle of poverty.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

Having witnessed a 10-year-old boy struggling to balance work and learning while accompanying his father at a local eatery, I was deeply moved by the impact of poverty on children's education. This personal experience inspired me to create EduKid—an innovative platform providing online English education to children in similar situations, starting in Bangladesh.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

In practice, EduKid is a user-friendly online platform accessible via computers, tablets, or smartphones. The platform features interactive English lessons tailored to the needs and skill levels of poverty-stricken children in Bangladesh.

Upon logging in, students are greeted with a personalized dashboard where they can access a variety of engaging learning materials, including video lessons, interactive quizzes, and educational games. These resources are designed to make learning English enjoyable and effective, even for those with limited access to traditional educational resources. As we have not yet published such resources, we plan to take classes on Zoom through qualified volunteers.

How has it been spreading?

We plan to launch the project soon, through collaborating with rural and local schools.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

You can join us as a qualified volunteer, willing to teach English and core skills to children.
