CTN Technologies is an EdTech Company that trains African Youth in Emerging Technologies

The future of work has greatly evolved and yet majority of the workforce in Africa do not have the necessary training to fill in these emerging roles. About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

The landscape of employment is rapidly changing, with emerging technologies like Robotics, Drone Technology, Software Development, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet of Things taking center stage. However, in Africa, a significant portion of the workforce lacks the essential training to seize opportunities in these fields. This is why we started CTN Technologies to address this.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

CTN Technologies empowers African youth with essential skills by training them in robotics, 3D printing, drone technology and coding through its Academy. These programs aim to address unemployment and foster long-term economic growth. Tailored training kits supplement these programs, encouraging innovation. A virtual learning platform is also underway, providing practical STEM lessons and aiming to become a Digital Public Good for accessible education.

Beyond training, we leverage tech blogs, video interviews, and documentaries featuring tech ecosystem leaders. This not only imparts knowledge but also inspires and informs the next generation of innovators, fostering a deeper understanding of the tech industry and its opportunities.

At CTN Technologies, we are committed to cultivating a thriving tech ecosystem in Africa, one where talent is equipped with the skills, tools, and knowledge needed to drive innovation, economic growth, and sustainable development.

How has it been spreading?

We are proud to share that we have trained over 550 individuals and reached an impressive 39,700 people through our interviews and blog posts. This traction demonstrates the demand for our services and the positive impact we have made in the education sector.
