We’re creating a more engaging, safe, and inclusive way for teachers in K-12 schools to use video in the classroom. We envision students more deeply understanding academic subjects and the world they live in. We also empower educators to find high-quality content and take a more data-driven, personalized approach to meeting a diverse range of student needs and preferences in the classroom.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

ClickView was created to provide teachers an easy way to access safe, high-quality educational videos in the classroom. We also built ClickView to transform the experience of watching a video from a passive to an active learning experience. ClickView helps teachers access the best educational content while saving them time and protecting students from potentially harmful material.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

ClickView is a web-based video streaming platform that allows educators to find and discover videos based on content areas aligned to the school curriculum. Videos on ClickView are short, fresh and fun to spark curiosity and enhance engagement. ClickView produces its own original series of videos aligned with the curriculum and licenses videos from hundreds of content partners to improve learning outcomes. Every video comes with classroom-ready interactive quizzes so students can explore, explain and evaluate their learning. Teachers can see how their students perform through actionable analytics, helping them target gaps in understanding and personalize their teaching.

Teachers play ClickView videos on a screen for group learning or assign them to students for group work, homework, or self-paced learning activities. Students can also lead their own learning, accessing the ClickView platform both in and outside of school, seeing only age appropriate content.

How has it been spreading?

ClickView is used by over 6,000 schools, 1 million teachers, and 5 million students around the globe including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

In Australia, 50% of primary school students and 90% of secondary school students use ClickView.
