We created this innovation to make environmental awareness personal, practical, and accessible—especially for young people. While climate change and biodiversity loss are global issues, most people rarely connect them to their everyday choices. We wanted to design a simple yet powerful tool that helps individuals see that they are not just consumers, but caretakers of nature. By inviting reflection through relatable real-life scenarios, we aim to spark a sense of agency, deepen ecological understanding, and inspire meaningful action—starting right where people are.
In practice, our innovation is a mobile-friendly online quiz that takes just a few minutes to complete but leaves a lasting impression. Designed around real-life choices—such as what we eat, wear, or throw away—it presents 10 multiple-choice questions that challenge participants to reflect on how everyday habits impact biodiversity.
Participants can re-attempt the quiz until they score full marks, making it both a learning tool and a call to action. Those who score 100% receive an e-certificate recognizing their commitment to conscious living and are invited to join a global WhatsApp community of changemakers. They also get the chance to be featured in a Global Photo Collage released on the International Day for Biological Diversity.
Organizations and schools can promote the quiz through youth networks, and those that mobilize 100+ participants are honored as Impact Partners with official recognition. This approach combines awareness, reflection, recognition, and community-building in one engaging platform.
Our innovation has been spreading organically and collaboratively through a network of youth organizations, educators, eco-clubs, and social media outreach. With its open-access format and mobile-friendly design, the quiz is easy to share across platforms like WhatsApp, email lists, Instagram, and community forums.
We’ve partnered with schools, colleges, NSS/NCC units, NGOs, and global youth networks, many of which have mobilized their members to participate. To encourage deeper involvement, we launched an Impact Partner program, recognizing institutions that engage 100 or more participants with official Appreciation Certificates—motivating word-of-mouth and institutional outreach.
Participation spans across India, Africa, the Middle East, and parts of Southeast Asia, often driven by passionate individuals and local leaders who see value in connecting personal reflection with global environmental action. The campaign continues to grow through multilingual posts, ready-to-use toolkits, and the shared enthusiasm of young changemakers.
