I hope to see education include life skills, drug abuse awareness, and personal development. My innovation aims to help students become responsible, confident, and skilled youth who can make good choices and solve problems in their communities.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

I created the Better Youth Association to help young people in my community who face serious problems like drug abuse, unemployment, and lack of guidance. Many youth struggle because they don’t have enough information about the dangers of drugs or skills to earn a living. This often leads them to make bad choices that hurt their future.

I wanted to create a group led by young people to raise awareness about drug abuse, teach useful skills, and encourage positive involvement in the community. Through campaigns, training, and mentorship, BYA helps youth stay away from harmful habits and become responsible citizens.

My goal is to give youth hope and tools to build a better life for themselves and their communities. I believe that when young people are empowered and supported, they can overcome challenges and lead positive change. This innovation is my way of making a difference by guiding youth toward a healthier and brighter future.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

Better Youth Association works by organizing activities that help young people learn and grow. We visit schools and communities to talk about the dangers of drug abuse and how to avoid it. We run awareness campaigns using posters, social media, and meetings.

We also offer training sessions where youth can learn useful skills like making crafts, using computers, or starting small businesses. We invite experienced people to teach and mentor the youth.

Our members meet regularly to share ideas, plan projects, and support each other. We encourage young people to take part in community service and leadership activities. Through all these actions, BYA helps youth stay focused, become confident, and create a positive future.

How has it been spreading?

The Better Youth Association has been spreading through school visits, social media, word of mouth, and partnerships. We talk to students and youth groups about our work, and many are inspired to join or invite us to their schools and communities. We also share our activities online, which helps more people learn about us. Some local leaders and organizations have started supporting us, making it easier to reach more youth. Slowly, more people are joining and helping us grow.

How have you modified or added to your innovation?

We have improved the Better Youth Association by adding new activities like skill training workshops, peer-to-peer mentoring, and online awareness campaigns. We also started using social media more to reach a larger audience and share our message with youth who are not close to us. In addition, we began working with other youth groups and local organizations to make a bigger impact. These changes have helped us reach more young people and support them better.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

If I want to try the Better Youth Association in your area, you can start by gathering a few young people who care about helping others. Begin by creating a small team and talk about the problems youth face in your community. Then, plan simple activities like awareness talks, clean-up campaigns, or skill-building workshops. You can also reach out to us for support or ideas. Use social media to share your work and invite more youth to join. Start small, stay focused, and grow step by step.
