Implementation steps

THE INCEPTION of The Campus as a Curriculum --‘An Experiential Learning Concept’
“The Campus as a Curriculum” is a concept that is passionately advocated by Mr. Himmat
Singh Dhillon, Headmaster, as well as by the entire Team of dedicated educators, in order to make experiential learning a reality for every member of our Community of Learners at The Lawrence School, Sanawar.
• Educators strive to utilize our sylvan campus as a resource to promote learning. At The Lawrence School, Sanawar we believe in imparting competency based education.
Learning Strategy
The Anticipation-Action-Reflection (AAR) of the OECD Learning Compass 2030 states that learning ‘is an iterative process whereby learners continuously improve their thinking and act intentionally and responsibly, moving towards long –term goals that contribute to collective well-being.’
At Sanawar, we have modified this cycle by including an element of research in it and thereby modifying The Anticipation-Action Reflection (AAR) cycle to The Anticipation-Action-Research (AAR2) cycle.
USING THE CAMPUS AS A LEARNING RESOURCE TO CONDUCT RESEARCH
Understanding the fundamentals of Geography, of History, Mathematics, Science and Art by using the campus as a resource to conduct research. This is enhanced by the integration of technology.
