Target group
That all girls and boys benefit from the same opportunities, regardless of their gender or the geographical area where they were born. Girls are those who suffer from this especially in rural areas. Reduce school drop-out due to the long journeys these students have to travel to school, and the fact that the girls' parents are afraid for their safety and and therefore prevent them from going far.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

In rural areas, schools are very far away from rural communities so the consequence is that children don't go to school or drop out. Specially girls, since their parents are afraid for their security, so they mostly don't go to school more than boys.
A reduced infrastructure requirement compared to the construction of a traditional middle school from 12 to 16 years old

What does your innovation look like in practice?

A dematerialized college with a remote faculty and a college equipped with the latest technologies and located in a rural area which was previously deprived of it, with a remote faculty, making it possible to mobilize the best teachers remotely. The room dedicated to the project in the douar aims to accommodate an average of 15-20 students per class for 3 years, accompanied by a facilitator. Students will have access to interactive online courses, a digital platform, recorded capsules for later viewing or for school remediation, as well as personalized support.
In addition to the basic cycle based on the formal program (7 teachers/subjects), the learning centers are defined in collaboration with the Curriculum Department/Minister and according to the already existing college curriculum. Other activities are also planned, such as training in soft skills and life skills in particular, and children will have access to a digital library. They also have a facilitator who is from the village

If I want to try it, what should I do?

In Morocco, that's the purpose with this pilot experience, to generalize it to all rural areas in the country. It's perfect for far away places. They just need to invest in the equipment: cameras, laptops... and a facilitator from the village who is trained by us.
