About

Ms. Syeda Sazia Zaman boasts over 23 years of experience in Early Childhood Development (ECD) and currently serves as the Programme Head at BRAC Institute of Educational Development, BRAC University. With a Master's in Social Work from Goteborg University, Sweden (2003), she's been integral to BRAC since 2007. Syeda played a pivotal role in designing and teaching the ECD Master's program at BRAC IED. Her current role focuses on the humanitarian response project, "Play to Learn" in the Rohingya camps of Cox's Bazar. As a co-chair of the ECD working group and a member secretary of the Bangladesh ECD Network, she's influential in advocating for
play-based ECD models. Her research interests center on play-based ECD models, and she's actively involved in advancing children's education.
