Pedro Dantas da Cunha is a Portuguese education leader and policymaker known for driving innovation in teaching and learning. He holds a master’s degree in Educational Psychology from ISPA, where he is also pursuing a PhD. Before joining government, he directed the Knowledge Programme at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, leading national initiatives such as the Gulbenkian Academies of Knowledge and projects promoting socio-emotional learning and school innovation.

From 2010 to 2017, he served as Deputy Director-General for Education, overseeing policies on inclusion, innovation, and student support. In April 2024, he was appointed Secretary of State for Educational Administration and Innovation, where he continues to advance a vision of agile, equitable, and learner-centered education.
