Marte Gerhardsen has served as the Director of Education in Oslo for the past six years, overseeing the education of 90,000 students from elementary school through high school, as well as vocational training and adult education. She has extensive experience from the private, public, and civil sectors. Gerhardsen began her career as a diplomat in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has since held leadership positions at CARE International Norway, the DNB Financial Group, the think tank Agenda, and the Norwegian Directorate of Health.
