Yard School

100 percent participation of students was a big challenge during the Covid-19 period.

In 2020, all educational institutions nationwide were declared closed due to Covid-19. Then we take up our challenge, we go from village to village and organize yard lessons in a particular house. In addition to online classes, I also conduct village-to-village workshops and conduct home-based classes on a specific day each week. The student attendance rate is almost a hundred percent.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

100 percent participation of students was a big challenge during the coronavirus period. My innovative story Udan Pathshala to meet this challenge
I did this innovation to meet the learning deficit of students due to Covid-19.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

I started classes online because of the lockdown all around the shops were closed I couldn't buy a whiteboard so I made a board out of tiles and made a tripod out of wood. After that, I continued to take classes as per the routine. Upload the online classes to YouTube so that students can watch these classes later. Despite all this, the presence of students online was very fragile. Let's face another new challenge. Online classes, reasons for not watching Sangsad TV can I know through the phone why students are not able to participate in Sangsad TV online classes? Try to know more details. Following hygiene rules, discuss directly with parents why your child does not attend classes online. I came to know through the parents that many of them do not have TVs and smartphones at home. Those who have smartphones at home cannot watch the class due to network issues. In addition to online classes, I also conduct village-to-village workshops and conduct home-based classes on a specific day।

How has it been spreading?

When I started village-to-village Yard School. Then the parents are very happy. There is a large portal for teachers in Bangladesh(https://teachers.gov.bd/). whose name is Teacher Batayan. I upload this invention to Teacher Batayan. The teachers of Bangladesh started this Yard School in every village with this innovative idea of mine. Thus my innovation spread to Bangladesh

If I want to try it, what should I do?
