Research shows that 1 in 3 children in developing countries fail to reach their full potential due to gaps in cognitive and social-emotional development. The critical window for development is ages 0-10, when 80% of brain growth occurs. Despite robust research, decisions made by parents, caregivers and educators still lack data on essential skills like self-awareness. Tilli bridges this gap.
Tilli provides a 36-week research-backed program for early learners (K-5), delivered by trained teachers in kindergartens and primary schools. The program builds 8 essential cognitive skills through play-based learning, behavioral science, and machine learning. Tilli doesn’t just teach, but also measures progress and gaps, providing real-time data to both teachers and parents along with personalized interventions. These interventions lead to measurable behavioral changes, helping children build habits that allow them to understand, express, and manage their emotions. A recent UNICEF and Save the Children report highlighted that 9 out of 10 children using Tilli developed positive coping mechanisms around anger and empathy.
In 2022 Tilli was recognized as a winner at the Designing for Digital Thriving Challenge, hosted by IDEO, Riot Games, and Sesame Workshop.
In 2023, Tilli won the prestigious Tools Competition, receiving $100,000 from the Schmidt Foundation. Tilli also earned both the Launch Competition Award and the Impact Award at the 2023 SXSW EDU Conference & Festival. Tilli partnered with Save The Children Sri Lanka and UNICEF to reach over 8,000 children across 17 government schools, child care centers, and hospitals. During Princess Anne's visit to Sri Lanka, she observed and expressed great interest in our learning kit.
In 2024 Tilli advanced to the bridge funding round with UNICEF Innovation, receiving $200,000 to support and expand our work.
Our end-goal is to reach as many children as possible regardless of where they come from and the ability to pay. We customize our suite of products to best accommodate the needs and requirements of each setting. Please write to us at info@tillikids.com to get started!
