Girls’Dignity is an educational non profit organization with the mission of giving hope and providing tangible pathways for educational and community development in low income communities . We are committed to provide access to education primarily through construction of the schools and transform schools into child-friendly learning environment in regards to SMART framework achievement success.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

Everyone deserve the chance to earn an education , we invite innovators in education to join our effort to transform lives of children in low-income communities by focusing on literacy nad gender equality by providing educational opportunities , developing educational programs and services that allow them to achieve their full potential.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

To day hundreds of children and their families are being positively as our school and schools partners has been a source of education, empowerment and inspiration . Through Girls’Dignity , children , particularly girls who may not have had equal access to quality education are being transformed. Moreover , new pedagogies , focusing on resiliency and critical thinking introduced ,thus preparing students for demand of the 21st century . Our curricular structure is based on six pillars ,each contributing to the students’ academic , social ,and emotional and our curriculum philosophy is also centered on six components and each component is linked and based on on the idea that functioning educational environment is one in which all of its parts -students, parents , teachers and administration work together toward the common goal of a conducive learning environment for all children

How has it been spreading?

To day Girls’Dignity operates a full nursery and primary school is Rwanda with physical campus consists of 10 classrooms and administrative blocks and capable to serve 450 students , we are partnering with more 4 schools that serve more that 2000 students . Our schools and students are demonstrating high score proficient on all national performance on national standard benchmarks . Our schools are achieving completion , transition , promotion , repetition , drop out , gender party rates higher that the national average .
