Cameroonian students face limited access to quality STEM education, mentorship, and global opportunities, hindering their potential to succeed and make a meaningful impact worldwide. To address this, I created Stem Academy Cameroon Laureates to empower the next generation of Cameroonian leaders in STEM fields, equipping them with the skills, mentorship, and global connections needed to thrive.
Stem Academy Cameroon Laureates selects 100 exceptional students, known as '100 Challengers,' who embark on a rigorous 100-day journey to apply for national and international opportunities. Our goal is to achieve '100 Congratulations' as each challenger secures at least one opportunity.
Through intensive mentorship and guidance, we equip students with essential skills via sessions on:
- Essay writing
- Critical thinking
- Project development
- Design thinking
Mentors and facilitators provide tailored support, ensuring students receive the aid they need to succeed. We emphasize global citizenship, teaching values such as cultural competence, adaptability, and social responsibility.
By collaborating with students and experts from world-renowned institutions and industries, our challengers gain relevant exposure to the international world. They apply for various opportunities, including:
- Award programs
- Fellowships
- College programs
- Competitions
- Internships
STEM Academy Cameroon has been spreading through impactful mentorship and achievements. We've mentored over 500 Cameroonians, providing educational, leadership, and personal growth opportunities.
