About the innovation

Equipping educators as agents of transformation so that every child reaches their potential.

What we do?

Dignitas is a leading education development organization.

We use an innovative training and coaching approach to empower schools and educators in marginalized communities to transform students’ opportunities.

Stawisha Early Years is designed to build leader and teacher capacity to leverage classroom strategies and techniques that are focused on nurturing core competencies such as creativity, collaboration, communication and self-efficacy.

Training is designed to introduce new concepts, leverage peer learning and collaboration, and offer space for teachers to see new techniques modeled, and have the opportunity to practice themselves.

Coaching is school-based and designed to support positive shifts in classroom practice by offering individualized support to each teacher and leader.

Why we do it?

We imagine a world where schools are a vibrant place for all children to develop the skills and strength of character to thrive and succeed.

For this to become reality, schools must shift from teacher-centered to learner-centered; classroom practice must shift from the traditional rote learning to activities and learning through play that build competencies for life-long learning, thriving and success.
