SQ3R: A Reading Intervention and Innovation

Reading is the most important form of communication and it is the gateway to effective learning.

An emphasis on reading and student literacy helps develop higher levels of focus and concentration. But the reading will be more effective if there will be an active and significant activities before, during and after the reading as well as integration of reconciled reading lesson through visual and non-visual reciprocal activities.

How has it been spreading?

It has been implementing for 3 years in a public school in Cavite as part of Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) to lessen the reading difficulties and improve the reading comprehension.
