Jennings Community School, a John Dewey inspired experiential high school emphasizes competencies for life.
Our school uses the Community Learning Centers model to achieve competencies for: active, responsible citizenship; productive, satisfying careers; lifelong learning; and, fulfillment of personal passions. We don’t use textbooks or teacher-dominated curricula. Rather, students have personal learning plans, work at self-chosen projects, use a wide variety of resources, and make public presentations.
