What we do?
Primarily, Onnorokom Bigganbaksho is a science kit. Like generic science kits, it also has a manual where different experiments are listed along with instructions on how to do them. For most of the experiments, all the ingredients and equipment are provided within the box.
Bigganbaksho also includes a Story Book with the kits. In the stories, scientific theories are explained in a lucid manner through the adventures the main characters, Aroni and Robekub partake in. The stories teach children not only about science but also about moral values.
As part of our regular school campaign program, we visit schools to meet children and perform science experiments with them. We explain scientific phenomena and teach them how to conduct experiments with household items. We encourage children to be experimental and inquisitive. Our kits are currently available in Bangladesh and the USA.
Our latest endeavor centers around an experience zone. It's kind of like a fab-lab for children. They will be able to conduct a plethora of scientific experiments which are difficult to do at home in a safe and secure environment. Along with regular science kits, they'll have access to equipment that aren't affordable for individuals normally.
Why we do it?
Every child is born curious. While growing up, most of us lose our curiosity along with our creativity. We forget how it feels to imagine the unimaginable, dream the impossible. We want to ignite little sparks of curiosity among children so that they never stop learning, never cease to imagine and never forget to dream.
By revealing the fun side of learning science to children, we want to inspire them to pursue careers in science and also want to instill moral values in them so that they can become better human beings. We firmly believe that these kids will one day change the world for better.
