At New Nordic Schools, we believe in purposeful learning that empowers students to become active participants in the learning process. The reality is that Finnish education cannot be exported as-is. Various elements and best practices of Finland’s education system can be implemented in schools abroad, but it requires localization, training, and the right mindset.
Our delivery process to set-up a partner school follows these 4 stages:
1. School Review and Current Situation Analysis: We will review and understand your current education plan and the local curriculum of your new/existing school to find the best ways to infuse it with interdisciplinary learning practices.
2. Planning: We will work together on an operational plan of bringing disciplinary learning to your school. At this stage, we will organize workshops for teachers to guide them in the process of creating such projects.
3. Implementation: At this stage, teachers will implement the interdisciplinary learning projects with their students, while our job will be to help and guide them in the process.
4. Continuous Improvement: We want teachers, parents and everyone involved to be onboard and to see a positive impact on the skills and the wellbeing of children. Thus, we will constantly collect feedback to adjust and perfect the program.
We have partner schools open in Finland, India, and France as well as ongoing pilot programs in the UK, Serbia, and Bahrain. We are rapidly scaling with the pandemic easing in most areas of the world. From 2022 onwards, New Nordic partner schools will be opening in the USA, Brazil, UK, Serbia, India, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia and Australia.
Whether it's our K-12 educational system, hybrid school platform, or professional development, the New Nordic School team is here to discuss your needs and identify the right solutions for your new or existing school.
