This is our response to the NUS reform. We aimed to introduce innovation teaching methods, ensure the psychological safety and quality education of children in extreme conditions, create space for their development and socialisation, help them overcome the consequences of traumatic events, and ensure the comprehensive development of all participants in the educational process and each person.
The co-founders and a team of 15 people work in 5 areas: programmes, marketing, design, infrastructure, cooperation with donor organisations, accounting and law. On the centre's official website everyone (educators, school psychologists, parents, grandparents, business people, teenagers and others) can quickly access more than 150 free and paid educational options, both online and offline, in 12 areas (soft skills, health, IT literacy, languages, psychology, entrepreneurship, preschool, art, prevention of professional burnout, for the administration of educational institutions, and subject-specific training). The training formats include full and mini-courses, comprehensive training programmes, masterclasses, webinars, individual consultations, internships, excursions, clubs, etc. All educational programmes comply with state standards, provide for certificates, which count as official professional development credits, without bureaucracy and with the most individualised approach.
Today our centre is the only one of its kind in Ukraine and throughout Eastern Europe. We use an extensive network of contacts formed over 3 years of activity through the bush telegraph, individual and group communication, offline merchandising, our own non-profit events and partner events and platforms, official website, social networks of the team and management, local media, email newsletters, phone calls, support from education departments, in particular the Kharkiv City Council, cooperation with the Association of AHs and cities of Ukraine and the two largest web portals «New Ukrainian School», «Osvita Nova». Together with the «Nakypilo» mediaresource we plan to create «Education Wave» podcast with educational experts to discuss relevant topics for applicants, students and parents.
Choosing to open a private educational centre, you should carefully consider the law and accounting aspects, develop a detailed business plan, form a team of professionals and find suitable premises. The key stage is to develop unique educational programmes, identify the target audience (children, adults or both), marketing strategy, and choose a financing model (commercial, grant or combined).
