Light for those who need it

Lighting the future

The goal of our project is to bring public lighting to remote locations unserved by conventional electricity systems. As a solution, we propose the construction of low-cost, automated kits that will bring the comfort and well-being that light brings at night. Our system will illuminate roads in rural areas of Brazil and the world.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

The objective of creating this project is to bring a little social equality among people who live in the countryside.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

This innovation brings well-being and a feeling of social inclusivity.

How has it been spreading?

We are at the beginning of the process and setting goals for project expansion.

How have you modified or added to your innovation?

We use different circuits with different uses and adapt them to our project.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

We will provide all the necessary documentation so that even a layperson can assemble the devices and positively impact their rural community.

Implementation steps

Read the project documentation
Reading the documentation that will be provided with the project is the first step. Select the components needed to produce the device. If you're not qualified, seek help from someone knowledgeable in electronics, but I guarantee that assembly can be accomplished even by a layperson. Select the locations where the devices will be installed. There's an average distance of 30 meters between each pole, which can be made of wood or bamboo. Then, simply install the lighting devices on the pole.
