Level Up Village

Globalize Your Classroom and Empower Students Through Virtual Peer Exchanges

Level Up Village (LUV) connects classrooms worldwide through collaborative, project-based learning in STEAM and languages. LUV solves the problem of limited global exposure and cultural understanding in traditional education by offering secure, easy-to-use virtual exchanges between students around the world based on hands-on projects. The result: a dynamic, culturally rich learning experience.

Level Up Village aims to transform education by connecting students worldwide through collaborative, project-based learning. Our vision is a future where education connects students across borders and prepares them to succeed in a global society.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

Level Up Village was created to bridge the gap in global education by offering students meaningful cross-cultural experiences. We wanted to provide an innovative, virtual platform where students could collaborate on hands-on STEAM and language projects with peers from around the world, building global competence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while promoting cultural understanding.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

Teachers join the LUV community of global educators. LUV team matches the teachers with suitable partner teachers in another country. Both classes create an online profile and get to know their global peers. Students investigate Arts & Sciences or Languages & Cultures topics and interact through a series of asynchronous videos and responses. Students learn about the topics, make cultural comparisons, and reflect upon the connection they made to their global partners. Students watch and comment on each other videos and reflect on what they discovered and learned. Both teachers can communicate about the exchange directly on the platform. For security, teachers have the ability to review and approve student videos.

How has it been spreading?

Through sales and marketing efforts and thought leadership as well as global partnerships with non-profit organizations. Top achievements: school exchanges with schools in Ukraine, partnership with Major League Baseball, partnerships with NGOs such as Kenya Connect and Project Luangwa.
