About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

As an educationist and specially as a parent I felt the changing needs of education. I have been a teacher, a mentor, a School head and a consultant across the private sector of Pakistan and today specialize in the field of international baccalaureate system implementing their best practices in a customized manner in the country. We need to match global demands by developing locally.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

I have invoked my learning and working journey in the private sector to some profit based Private investors and now the public sector to ape it for the masses. It has worked well to redefine the learning outcomes, content and assessment methodologies of the outdated public sector. It is still in its infancy a we fight the bureaucratic and political hurdles of a set and rigid mind set.

Smart phone data of Pakistan is phenomenal and can be used to impart informal education, civic sense and information/ awareness at large. We have millions of out of School kids where a majority are women. We have millions of children with special needs who are kept out of schools for lack of resources in the public sector domain to cater to their needs. Thus smart phones can be a used to offer a series of customized learning objectives.

How has it been spreading?

The idea is still in its infancy and as mentioned several bureaucratic and political hurdles have stalled the growth.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

They can contact me and I would love to expand on my ideas and then may be customize it according to the needs and requirements of Bangladesh.
