About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

We have our own business accelerator for F&B startups and have been working with corporations for 6 years. The F&B industry is changing and companies need specialists with new skills to work in the digital era, also the industry will continue to grow due to population growth. Despite this fact there are no courses in schools which prepare students to be food entrepreneurs or work in a food company

What does your innovation look like in practice?

The FoodAdvice course shows students how interesting the F&B industry is and helps them to form entrepreneurial skills in a familiar form, that of a game. Also our course helps schools and students all over the world to form and develop 4 C's of 21st century skills (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication).

Our course is based on team interaction and designed to be taken in a group, its topics are systems thinking, teamwork, value proposition, MVP, AI and game design. The course consists of 9 games of 2 hours each and 8 homework assignments to do on the online platform between games, any game during the course can be conducted face-to-face (using the board game) and online (using the computer game). Also we have an individual 10-hours online course for school teams which shows them how to conduct games and launch our course for students both at school and outside it.

We are getting positive feedback from schools-partners and their students.

How has it been spreading?

We have partnered with about 30 schools in the last 6 months: we work with government schools in Russia, with international schools such as Cambridge International School, Heritage School, ILA Aspect, Cherwell Oxford College and with schools for children with disabilities in Russia. Also we play in FoodAdvice in food corporations and business clubs. Our goal for next 2 years is to launch our course in 100 schools and become a partner with at least 5 food corporations.

If I want to try it, what should I do?
