We created the experience after conducting a meta-analysis of the major publications regarding "Skills" and "Future of Work", coming up with a list of the 7 most mentioned skills.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

Even though the “Future of Work” is being widely discussed in high level academic and international policy-making agenda, most of the information is still unknown or too unfamiliar to the people mostly affected by it: youth.
We want to change that!

What does your innovation look like in practice?

The Future of Work Experience (FloWxp) has an integrated design with a narrative story that unify five stations that the participants go through. The stations where designed around the most mentioned skills in the major publications of the last 3 years.
In an ESCAPE ROOM participants must solve logic and lateral thinking challenges, using digital and analog resources. In the MORAL LAB, through a “choose your own adventure” format, participants have to solve uncomfortable dilemmas, reflecting on the ethics behind Artificial Intelligence. The HUMAN MACHINE challenges the critical and creative thinking of the participants, linking them with the skills needed for the future and Artificial Intelligence. In the COLLABORATOR station participants are faced with set of challenges on trends (like ageing populations, multiculturality) that require team work. ALTERNATIVE FUTURES is an open space to reflect on the experience and debate what the future actually means.

How has it been spreading?

+ Young people and leaders from +154 countries experienced the first beta version of the FLOW Experience at the 24th World Scouts Jamboree in Virginia (USA) - an event with 40.000 participants.

+More than 70 children and young people (aged 8 to 16 years old) participated on the facilitated version during Doha Learning Days and the World Innovation Summit of Education 2019 (WISE) in Doha (Qatar)

+80 Executives from tech companies, government & NGO’s at “Skills for the
Future” Vol. I Event that took place in 2019 at Microsoft HQ in Buenos Aires (Argentina)

+ We also have a Replicator's guide with step-by-step guidance to help educators from formal and non-formal settings to create their FLOW-like experiences with their students.
