Creating the future today

The whiteboard uses a vertical conveyor for height adjustment. The board is flexible, allowing it to be used by teachers of varying heights and visible to all students including backbenchers.Dusters are fixed at the back of the conveyor board to self clean the board.This board aims to boost teacher productivity by decreasing health concerns, saving energy, and increasing student concentration.

Why did you create this innovation?

Fixed manual boards are less efficient; they are fixed on one position. This means that moving the boards from one place to another is difficult as they are not flexible and are bulky.Fixed manual boards are unable to self-clean. The operator is obliged to complete the cleaning on his or her own time. As a result, the operator often ends up wasting valuable time and effort cleaning by themselves

What does your innovation look like in practice?

The goal was to create a motorized conveyor white board that can be raised to different heights so that different teachers of varied heights can use it to the fullest potential and so that a class with equally spaced seats can see all that is written on the board.The board is remotely controlled using Bluetooth technology for vertical adjustment of height and horizontal control of the board.Cleaning of the board is done using dusters that are attached at the back.The dusters were designed such that they fitted perfectly into the cleaning process. A rolling whiteboard surface and fixed dusters were used. The board can be moved horizontally and vertically.I attached a YouTube link of the prototype that shows that it works.

How has it been spreading?

I have consulted with more than 1000 teachers and students,I had presented the invention and i have received positive feedback.My teachers say this should be implemented in schools as it will increase student concentration.The main achievements are :A self cleaning whiteboard has been made,A whiteboard that is able to adjust the height to allow visibility by backbenchers and also short operators are able to use the board efficiently.A board that has horizontal movement to move the board through different rows thus increasing class productivity.In the future,this board will be improved by ensuring the motors are powered by renewable sources of energy I.e solar energy so as to save on electricity costs

Implementation steps

Ensure that the board has been properly mounted
This first step should ensure that the board has been properly mounted to facilitate the horizontal and vertical movement of the board
Ensure that the safety for use
This step ensures that the board is inspected and all motorized parts are shielded properly to ensure that accidents are minimized
Power the board using Appropriate DC power
This being a motorized board ,electrical power is need.All the wires supplying the power should be properly shielded.Solar power and DC batteries should be used
Have Bluetooth app
Bluetooth app will help to control the vertical movement of the board so as to facilitate height adjustment. This Bluetooth control will also help in moving the board horizontally
