The Berry Street Education Model is a trauma-informed positive education framework that gives teachers concrete strategies that they can use in their classes. We are already active in over 400 schools in Australia. We believe that when teachers create a pro-active, pre-emptive, strengths-based classroom, students learn better. We believe that the foundation for academic outcomes stem from strong and positive relationships, and that these are built in micro-moments of classroom management. We show teachers how to build developmental resiliency in their students, through knowing their strengths, understanding their triggers, regulating their bodies and managing distractions. And we inspire teachers to be curious, practice gratitude, live with zest... and to breathe!
