Many parents and children have conflicts with learning results. Parents-child conflict results in kids have low motivation. In Asia, parents are strict on schoolwork, but they don't know what the kids want. Each kid has a different learning preference, We try to find accurate personality types by brainwave, and give the right advice of the designated learning style to solve the conflict.
Each kid has different learning behavior, some need a clear Curriculum, some like to try around subject first; some love to study with peers, but some like to study along; Some need a teacher to admire, some love competition. Some can take advice; some can only be encouraged. How do you know what they want? if you don't, when they are unfortunately to be in awkward situations, their study motivation goes backward. If we can use personality to find their habits. we can advise their parents, they will know how to tailor their learning environment.
We use a single-channel EEG sensor to collect brainwaves for 90 seconds and based on the report we advise parents and kids. Different EEG frequency band combinations were analyzed with fuzzy logic to map to MBTI personalities. In 4 years, we collected 600k data points to analyze and achieve 90% accuracy compared to paper-based MBTI personality results. All data sent to server for self-learning and auto-improving by AI.
The system is used in 200 elementary schools in Taiwan and we donate to some poverty elementary schools. It has been recognized by Taiwan’s education ministry and receives appreciation letters from many schools and foundations. The positive reputation makes this system used widely. We also donate to some China's nonprofit charity group, they focus on the left-behind kids in the remote area whose parents has been a way to work in cities, to help kids don't give up learning, it has a great result. We have distributors in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, they use this with local school kids, they also work with the regional universities and published several papers. We are very positive about in the future it will have more impact, hope this technology can bring insight to future education.
