When my daughter was 6, she was diagnosed with depression. Her doctors told me that I needed to get her to talk about her feelings to help her. I realized there was nothing on the market that aided children in understanding/expressing emotions. So, I created The Feeling Friends, a program was to help my daughter understand/express her feelings.
We start by educating the educator. Our Adult SEL Professional Development targets the educator's social and emotional competencies. They receive emotional tools to build their expertise and skills to lead SEL initiatives.
The educators then deliver instruction with The Feeling Friends Educational Program. The Feeling Friends Educational Program fosters social and emotional wellness in children ages 3-7 by providing them the tools to begin identifying, expressing, and managing their emotions. We do this through diverse range of puppets, books, music, posters, and an evidence-based SEL curriculum.
Students then take the information learned home so that their parents can engage with The Feeling Friends. This engagement reinforces classroom knowledge at home. Community members can participate with The Feeling Friends when schools host The Feeling Friends Day, where community members come and read the books to the children and help create art projects that focus on SEL.
We have been in research. Word-of-mouth is how people have come to know about The Feeling Friends. Once the connection is established, our team designs a Feeling Friends experience for our customer where folks take away emotional knowledge for themselves and their classrooms. We've done $425K+ since 2019 with this method. More importantly, we’ve changed educators, students, and families lives with our program.
We like a conversation. Contact our team to inquire about our services (listed on our website). Once we have established your true needs, we can customize an experience for you.
