AI and algorithm-driven tools are shaping how young people learn and see themselves, equity in EdTech isn’t optional. It is urgent. As tech becomes woven into every layer of schooling, we must ensure it lifts all learners. That starts with designing and implementing EdTech that’s built for inclusion, not just innovation.
That is why two influential organisations in the digital innovation space – HundrED and EduEvidence – are joining forces to celebrate EdTech solutions that are doing an exceptional job in promoting equity through their innovations.
EduEvidence is a global nonprofit organisation dedicated to certifying the impact of educational technologies through rigorous, research-based evaluation. HundrED, through its annual Global Collection, curates 100 of the most impactful educational innovations worldwide. Equity is an important factor in identifying the solutions for the collection.
Equity is also a key impact indicator in the evaluation of impact carried out by EduEvidence, International Certification of Evidence of Impact in Education. Utilising its comprehensive 5Es framework—Efficacy, Effectiveness, Equity, Ethics, and Environment—EduEvidence promotes transparency and informed decision-making in the selection of edtech solutions.
EdTech innovator, apply for additional recognition
This year, HundrED and EduEvidence have joined forces to jointly celebrate EdTech solutions that do exceptional work in the equity area. EdTech organisations listed in HundrED Collection will be automatically certified for the Equity category.
Certification for impact on equitable learning outcomes brings valuable benefits to EdTech companies. Certified organisations are listed on the publicly accessible Global EdTech Evidence List, providing educators and policymakers with a trusted source to find proven, evidence-based tools.
They also receive an internationally recognised badge, signaling independent verification of their positive impact on learners. This enhances credibility, increases visibility, and opens up new opportunities for growth and collaboration in the competitive EdTech market.
Eligible EdTech companies that were part of HundrED previous showcase collections, need to apply for the scheme by mid-June 2025. The new HundrED Global Collection 2026, released in November, will automatically include the EduEvidence badge, providing them with increased visibility and trust among global education stakeholders.
HundrED and EduEvidence are joined in the belief that when done right, EdTech can reach marginalised learners far more effectively than traditional methods. The two organisations are dedicated to make inclusive, evidence-driven innovation both a moral and practical necessity for all EdTech tools.
