A child in school by definition is less vulnerable than a child who is not in the educational system. Oasis India, based out of Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Pungunur (Andhra Pradesh) focuses on create change agents in society through the After-School Program support.
As change agents, children from the disadvantaged communities of Hallegudadahalli, Bengaluru raise awareness on social issues within the community and nearby areas. Awareness campaigns as such ensure that child representatives participate in making the community aware on important and sensitive issues as well as increase participation and involvement, and inevitably increase their confidence and sense of responsibility in the society.
