The theme for the 2024 Nordic Educational Research Association (NERA) Conference is “Adventures in Education: Desires, Encounters and Differences.” In recognition of the power of imagination, determination, and innovation to overcome crisis and despair, the conference brings together educators, researchers, and students to have productive dialogue and explore divergent solutions to educational challenges.
What do you hope to gain from the conference?
The NERA Conference will be an important opportunity for gaining outside feedback on our current research endeavours from educational experts, as well as growing our network of innovation enthusiasts. By providing a window into our research process, both its inceptions and conclusions, we aim to bolster our reputation for rigorous academic research and amplify the impact of our selected innovations.
Why is it important for HundrED to be attending NERA now?
With the recent establishment of the HundrED Implementation Centre, our research is increasingly focused on how we can best encourage innovative practices in the classroom, helping innovations to scale in that process. NERA provides a stage to share understandings gleaned from our own studies and to gain best practices for moving implementation work forward.

The conference will be taking place at Malmö University, Malmö, Sweden. We will be presenting at the following sessions:
