There’s a pressing need for scalable, cost-effective, quality career guidance. The job market and future of work are constantly evolving, but traditional career guidance services, such as career counselors and workshops, are often inaccessible due to limited availability, costs, or geographic limitations. Individuals from underserved backgrounds especially lack access to these resources.
Coach empowers every learner with personalized, high-quality, and bias-free career support. It is chat-based AI career coaching with a huge menu of career activities from drafting resumes, to college essay writing, job post interpreter, open career exploration, and more. Anything that anyone (student or jobseeker) needs to prepare for their futures. Activities can be initiated at home by an individual or assigned by an educator at any time. Coach is consistent with reliably excellent advising, tailored to the user’s unique interests, with “right time, right place” 3rd party service recommendations based on our database of vetted services from partners (offering everything from upskilling to mentorship programming). Coach is built following an 8 part Responsible AI Framework with multiple layers of bias checking, monitoring, and moderation. Coach works to build educator-student relationships providing educators with training, support, data, and an educator dashboard to track progress.
We strongly believe in sector-wide collaboration and responsible development, especially when it comes to AI tools. So, we formed a coalition of 20+ career-focused nonprofit institutions (incl. Generation.org, CAPS Network, and more), with decades of combined experience in career services, especially for historically under-resourced communities, to advise us at various stages of Coach’s development. These partnerships have been instrumental in spreading the word about Coach and will help us reach thousands of individuals in the first year of launch.
