Veeraiah Kummari

Vee is an international educator with two decades of experience teaching high school chemistry, including the International Baccalaureate (IB), and middle school science in Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, and Germany. He volunteers as a reviewer for the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) and is also a member of the Harvard & NSF Core Group on Physics Education. He calls himself a context- and phenomenon-obsessed educator who finds joy in encouraging young learners to understand and appreciate the principles of chemistry through collaboration, communication, experimentation, and self-reflection. Vee is interested in exchanging disruptive educational ideas and practices to promote active learning and student agency.
