To address today'schallenges and build a better future for all, we believe in empowering the youngest citizens of our society to take radical action by giving them a voice and a sit at the table. That is where UpstartED comes in.
UpstartED is a Canadian education nonprofit whose raison d’etre is to empower youth from 12 to 18 in order to uplift positive change in the world.
The You(th) Explore Program is a 9-week distance learning program that seeks to deliver transformative learning experiences to individuals ages 12 to 18 through synchronous and asynchronous learning. Focused on self-development, our modules are designed at the intersection of social innovation and entrepreneurship to better equip the leaders of tomorrow.
The program is divided in three modules for students to reflect on and answer to these fondamental questions:
WHO AM I?
WHAT IMPACT DO I WANT TO MAKE?
HOW DO I GET STARTED MAKING AN IMPACT?
The Explore student experience combines digital touch-points with hands-on activities that limit screen time. Our program is designed to have students interact with their immediate environment, their peers and with the larger world around them. Here are the components that make the Explore program unique:
Our program is bilingual English and French.
