Canan Kaçar Şengül
An architect who organizes innovative architectural design workshops for children that release and foster their creative sides.
Architecture is the way I express myself that I am passionate about. When I became a mother, I realized that I could support my daughter's education with my professional practices. For a while, I worked to establish a parent-initiated primary school and started to research interdisciplinary and alternative education methods. In this process, the practices made in various parts of the world (such as Arkki from Finland) inspired me. I have had the opportunity to apply the workshops I have designed in various educational institutions. I observed that the innovations tried during these practices were effective in solving children's learning problems.
Children's curiosity and passion for learning are a great motivation for me. My goal is to use this motivation to reach children from all walks of life and support their development. Why do you want to be a part of the HundrED Community?
HundrED, as a platform where many brilliant educators pursue innovations in education, offers an environment where I can establish new connections, broaden my perspective, and improve myself. Being here and being a part of it is a great opportunity for me.
