Wayne Adrian Davis (PhD)
I am an educator with over 23 years of experience in school administration, classroom instruction, student guidance, and counseling as well as various levels of youth development training. I am the founder of Bright Future School, a K-12 School located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which has served over 17,000 students since 1998. I am also engaged in motivational speaking, entrepreneurial skill development training and facilitation. Due to my long-standing involvement and voluntarism in the Scouting movement as well as my professional career in education, I have a thorough understanding of Youth empowerment, engagement, and leadership. I have a keen interest in youth-led social entrepreneurship and community development. Having founded Bright Future School at the age of 24, I know the challenges the youth face in access to capital, clear focus, and goal setting as well as the motivation to thrive under challenging circumstances. In addition to my active involvement in the management of Bright Future School for the past 20 years, I have been engaged in training, facilitating for and supporting several educational and youth organizations. I have also served in the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) Africa Region as a member and as the Chairman of the Africa Scout Committee from 2012 -2015 and 2015 -2018 respectively. I am an active advocate for the importance of the empowerment of the youth to take the lead in sustainable development.
