Director of International Development, RoundTable Global - The Legacy Project

As Director of International Development at RoundTable Global I deliver empowerment programmes in over 30 countries around the world and head up our charity, The Legacy Project, which gives back to communities and supports youth development. As a mother of two I believe it is absolutely crucial that we provide our youth with the tools they needs for a future that goes beyond sustainability and empowers them for change as one global youth. In addition to this I am project lead for our Global Youth Awards which runs annually celebrating young people all around the world that are creating projects for change under the categories of environment, education, empowerment and creativity.

The Global Youth Awards 2022 are encouraging young people and seeking out those already doing extraordinary things in the world. As part of the prize package we offer mentoring and access to our ambassador network. Watch an interview with our 2020 hosts and former winners here and please get in touch if you are interested in getting involved in any way.

Empowering youth for employability! It is crucial to provide young people with the skills they need to survive in the workplace. With increasing mental health issues and stress related illness impacting workplace functionality educators and employers can no longer ignore the importance. Read more in my article here

Why do you want to be a part of the HundrED Community?

It is time for innovation in Education and the fastest way to achieve this is through global collaboration. Being a HundrED Ambassador will also allow me to raise awareness for our Global Youth Awards which means we will be able to reach and celebrate more young people around the world.

How can education support students to flourish?

We need to change the way that we educate and create a personalised education tailored to the individual not the masses. We have the technology in place now to change the system so that our young people have equal access, regardless of location or financial status.

What role does innovation play in education change?

It's absolutely EVERYTHING! We are training young people for jobs that don't even exist yet. If we don't stay innovative we can't give them the support they need to be healthy, successful adults that support their communities.

Three HundrED innovations you love. (and Why?)

The KidPreneurs Network - giving kids a voice at a young age and supporting them is so important if we want fearless young people! The Educators' Lab - Teachers are the key to youth learning and they can only do their jobs if they have access to the tools that they need - entrepreneurial thinking is an important tool Minecraft Education Edition - I love the idea of using technology they love!

Three innovations you would love for HundrED to know about. (and Why?)

We have a CommUNITY Leadership Programme. - We will help put the UNITY back into community and offer a brand new way of approaching communication, life and learning.
