Working at Nirmal Bhartia School as the Head, Community Initiatives. A teacher, learner, reader, I love to connect- in terms of thoughts, ideas, people, organisations, community and the world.

I like to help bring in change for the betterment of this wonderful world we live in; to ensure that each one of us, wherever we are, whosoever we are, has the opportunities and the possibilities of doing good.

I am a learner at heart, a teacher by profession, and a mother of two. I like to find answers, maybe not perfect solutions. I like talking to people - listening to them. My favourite time is when I sit beneath the trees.

Why do you want to be a part of the HundrED Community?

I would like to be a part of the HundrED community as education needs to be holistic, real- life based and open to innovative , wild ideas that work. The brilliance of this organisation is in the simplicity of the idea - of seeking and sharing ideas. I love to connect, communicate and would do my best to create wise, caring communities for our children. I like stories, listen to what people say.

How can education support students to flourish?

Education teaches children to not only learn things and understand the interconnectedness and the importance of rigour, but also, most importantly, to ask questions, to be curious, think and reflect. Children thrive when they are surrounded by love, care, and respect and are given opportunities to question, take risks, play, and grow.

What role does innovation play in education change?

Innovations are all about taking existing situations or ideas or responding to them and then putting them through a whirlwind of making a difference, taking risks, and creating new roads. Problems bring in a breath of fresh air—they force us to relook at things. In education, innovations help ensure that good things happen, we find ways to make this place a better place for our children.
