Owner of EDvisor Finland - Learning Design. K-12 teacher and teacher trainer. Learning Design for EdTech. EdTech incubation, acceleration and internationalisation.

I am a language teacher by trade and have taught from Grades 1 to 12, including as a primary classroom teacher in Grades 1 through 5.

In addition I have been a teacher trainer and school visitor for the IB across Europe, Middle East and Africa for 5 years.

I have been involved in education business for 2 years, primarily in learning design for EdTech; designing pedagogy, curriculum architecture, curriculum integration but also on the business side in terms of messaging and commuication.

Why do you want to be a part of the HundrED Community?

I believe that EdTech solutions should be properly incubated before being accelerated, launched or internationalised. It must be clear from the outset what problem they are solving and how they facilitate learning. I have joined the HundrED Commuity to network with likeminded people o this issue.

How can education support students to flourish?

By expanding their access to further training, employment as well as helping them learn life skills .

What role does innovation play in education change?

It has a role at a grassroots level, where its impact brings about a change in mindset which spread to the systemic level.

Three HundrED innovations you love. (and Why?)

1 Kide Science-It manages to teach science in an early years setting. 2 EdTech East Africa-It is building an EdTech ecosystem from the ground up. 3 The Grable Foundation-Because of its commitment to equitable learning outcomes.

Three innovations you would love for HundrED to know about. (and Why?)

1 Soapbox Labs- Because of its potential in using voice recognition to assess children. 2 Educraftor- Because of its ecosystem designs to scale educational innovation. 3 Karaconnect- Because of its capability to connect SEN students with tutors when under lockdown.
