I'm proudly Mexican, I have 4 wonderful brothers and a wonder-mom.I've been always interested in community development, mostly in mine, and continuously I've been seeking for actions which I could take to make of it a better place.
Whit this commitment on mind I worked as a volunteer and then as Head of Logistics & Coordinator in a Youth Movement.10 years ago I started working with kids and my vocation caught me. I discover that the very best place to seed fresh seeds is on kids. They are there with open hearts and open minds just to receive what we have to share with them.
This fact inspired me to keep going with my preparation as Trainer.
Why do you want to be a part of the HundrED Community?
It inspires me a lot to know that somewhere outside are committed persons working to build a better world.
To build communities will always take you 5 steps ahead. You'll have the opportunity to share experiences, listen to new ways and get inspiration.
How can education support students to flourish?
Education can support students flourishment by being inclusive. By providing free spaces where the students can develop their own talents and not only to put on them the knowledge that is told the 'have' to have.
I do think innovation is the key to every change not only in education. It will let you have fun, it will give you creative impulses and also some craziness. If we are looking to change Education and have one that covers the 21st century childs necesities we will need all this.
Three HundrED innovations you love. (and Why?)
SICOEM. Is a pedagogical approach that reaches the child through music. I think is amazing how music can contribute to kids development.
Initiative for Peace Is wonderful what they do by empowering the youth to reach one of the most important achieves in life -PEACE- To let young women and young men lead this big issue gives me a sign of hope.
Community Share This idea of having a human library is really cool! It will let the kids learn more helpful skills and also lets these 'specialists' to share their knowledge.
