Mawuenyefia Wisdom Amenyo

Kumasi, Ghana

A young Ghanaian fellow passionate about innovation, creativity and modern technology in areas of education and quality health delivery to brew development and progress for a better tomorrow.

My name is Amenyo Mawuenyefia Wisdom; 22 years. Co-founder of Pearlion CL., Developer of PlasApp, an Artificial Intelligent system for automated malaria diagnosis designed for our  African setting, Co-developer of Pearlion E-Learning, MokAid Automated Irrigation system, and COVID-19 HealthWorkers Safety AI System amongst others. I'm a Biomedical Engineering student from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. From an economically and socially challenged family but yet the burning flame of hope and enthusiasm for progress and dynamic development to help others in many diverse ways , I choose the pathway of relentless service to elevate the standards humanity bow to in areas of the world like Sub-Saharan Africa.

During the course of the weekend,  I render my volunteering services and academic support with Phillips Florence English Language Learning In-Home Program, teaching individuals the art of speaking the said language to equip them in effective communication at work and in the society at large.

With Campaigning, in as much as it really cannot be quantified, I touched the hearts of millions when I wrote an article using the #Black Lives Matter case study emphasizing on equality for Human Rights for all racial backgrounds; winning me an award by SDGs Legacy.

In June 2020, I was invited to participate in an exclusive webinar, HealthBOT Africa 2020 that focussed on the healthcare and life sciences across the continent.

In same year November ,  I was a Vision4Knowledge Hackathon participant with my team. During this competition, we collaborated to develop an e-learning platform to basically aid students and faculty alike to manoeuvre through the storms of the pandemic. Coming out as 1st place winner, we are in the pipelining architecture of soliciting funds for the project.

In 2021 January, I was exclusively selected among hundred others to volunteer as an Ambassador at HundrED, where I help the foundation in validating K12 educational innovations and assisting in sharing my opinions on a global survey for modern education in the 21st century.

In matters of volunteering, I started a small project called iTeach2Impact where my team and I assist local teachers in the vicinity to teach during the summer vacation. I also help in feeding the impoverished people in society in a social campaign dubbed Feed The Streets Campaign in parts of Accra and Kumasi, Ghana.

With certificates in Nursing studies and Data Science,  I channel such knowledge set and energy into helping people build a better life through volunteering work and campaigning in areas of health and innovative education.

In the near future, by good support,  I hope to put a big smile on somebody's face and simply but greatly transmogrify lives for a better and congenial living.

Why do you want to be a part of the HundrED Community?

I want to be part of a community of individuals who share the same passion for making the world a better place through education. I believe that we have strength in numbers, and the impact will help improve the world's educational standard, therefore, helping to create a positive social change. Believing the an innovative spirit and cultural vibrancy comes from change, I'm a CHANGE through impact

How can education support students to flourish?

Education helps everyone gain an unflappable sense of self-confidence and confidence for life, which can take us to the highest thrills and the lowest point of life.

What role does innovation play in education change?

Innovations like the printing press and the internet rewrote everything. Obstacles are exceeded thanks to innovation.Science and Technology being the masterminds behind the innovations we see today, are causing the optimal impact we want in the right direction across the world.

Three HundrED innovations you love. (and Why?)

HundrEd innovations like the Roots of Empathy are among my favourite innovations; Bullying is a major issue in most schools, and make students grapple while learning, so a project which reduces aggression, including bullying, and boosts prosocial behaviours such as caring, sharing and inclusion is just so impressive.
