Willing to help K-12 students learn about the amazing and delightful experience of learning.

I have been a lawyer in Brazil for over 20 years. I decided to change my journey and work with education, especially with middle and high school. I intend to work with innovative pedagogies that can help students experiment the pleasure of learning.  To make this transition, two years ago I decided to come to Los Angeles and pursue an MBA at the University of Southern California. My plan was to take a sabbatical year, study entrepreneurship, think about my project, and research on innovations in education. After my graduation, my long-term plan is to start an education project in Brazil (can be an afterschool program, a K-12 school, an education software) to achieve my goals.
Why do you want to be a part of the HundrED Community?

HundrEd is a perfect community for me.  I want to explore as many innovative ideas in education as possible and HundrED makes this great work compiling them. Also, I want to contribute to the education community around the world spreading the innovative ideas I will discover in Brazil.

How can education support students to flourish?

Education opens one's mind. It has the power to take the student anywhere he/she wants to go. Knowledge is an amazing source of inspiration, pleasure, personal growth and may take anyone towards the path of life fulfillment.

What role does innovation play in education change?

Education has to change immediately! The way it is constructed is killing the student's natural curiosity and the pleasure to learn.  Innovation is the only "salvation" we can offer to this generation to be rescued from a system that is not preparing them for the world and many times is impairing them to be successful adults.
