I love building communities of practice, sparking futures thinking, exploring Space, and seeing learning goals with supporting tech that lift students towards a bright future realised. @jnxyz on Twitter

Over 19 years in Edu, I’ve seen how Learning, digital tools (STEAM, AR/VR, mobile) & futures thinking ( transform lives. Now, as a globally awarded innovator, Futures Learning Coach at STEM Punks, Digital Coach at St Peters Lutheran College, Advance Queensland Digital Champion, Apple Distinguished Educator, CoSpaces Ambassador, ShapingEdu Ambassador, & iWorld STEAM Ambassador, I actively help leaders & learners shift thinking to embrace the coming fully digital, AI era.

Why do you want to be a part of the HundrED Community?

To learn from others, and share the work of my innovative STEM Punks and FutureWe communities even further.

How can education support students to flourish?

By giving everyone the skills and space to explore, relate, design deliver and share their ideas and solutions!

What role does innovation play in education change?

Its the leading edge that later filters down intro day to day practice - if and as it proves useful for advancing learning. Without fostering innovative teachers, the whole progression of best practice and improving learning comes to a halt - and this would be disastrous right now at just a time when the 4th industrial age is beginning.

Three HundrED innovations you love. (and Why?)

MeToo - incredible how cost effective it is for supporting mental health - and yet it remains human focused and moderated.

Money Matters - a wonderful compilation of best practice ideas combined to provide students a real pathway to financial literacy brought on by doing themselves.

Worlds of Work - amazing initiative that focuses on a large chunk of the real-life skills students need to transition successfully into the future workforce.

Three innovations you would love for HundrED to know about. (and Why?)

FutureWe - a crowd-sourced success matrix to help students and workers transition to thriving in the 4th Industrial Age. FutureWe's global community has developed a guiding framework and survey tool so everyone can map their progress and plan for tomorrow - all while workshops like 'First Kids on Mars' help them learn the skills and do better in class today.

STEM Punks - a leading design thinking provider with a focus on problem solving skills that boost in particular the STEAM skills the world desperately needs.

Learntech Lab - a coming way for Edtech innovators to engage with schools in a structured and curated way that yields key information for products, but enhances schools as well.

Edugrowth - Australia's only national Edtech support and advocacy network.

ShapingEdu - an initiative of Arizona State University to bring together global experts to map what the transition to a digital age looks like, and how all sectors can be supported to thrive by supporting online 'neighbourhoods' of discussion and action.
