I am Jing-swen (Jessie) Bin, working as Editor-at-Large at CommonWealth Education Media and Publishing in Taipei, Taiwan. For the past 12 years, I have been interviewing inspiring educational leaders, visiting innovative classrooms and schools in Taiwan and around the globe (Finland included), writing stories about them. I also coordinate to curate CW International Conference on Innovation Education for 8 years, have invited keynote speakers in person or 2020 online, including Todd Rose from Harvard University, Irmeli Halinen from Finland, Paul Tough (author of best sellers), Sal Khan from Khan Academy and Andrea Schleicher from OECD, to name a few. The annual event attracted over 10,000 participants in total. I am happy to observe that our works are driving changes and casting impacts in Taiwanese k-12 education.
To deepen those changes, CommonWealth Education Media and Publishing launched "Education Innovation 100" in 2017. We regard ourselves not merely as a media, but as a platform to identify local educators, parents, NPOs and enterprises and to connect them with international new ideas to create synergies and transformation.
