Why do you want to be a part of the HundrED Community?

Progressive societies rely on social capital. Social capital is shaped by thriving edu systems, the design of which is only ever as good as the sum of our collective wisdom. Collaborative innovators influence systems design. HundrED connects change agents by providing an open sourced platform to showcase opportunities & possibilities; thereby walking the talk in amplifying impact for change.

How can education support students to flourish?

Any learning that combines "Maslow & Blooms" extends far beyond transactions of information retention or knowledge accumulation. 'True' education is a relational, non-linear process which occurs when students understand in order to make further connections & develop an awareness beyond their context. Such empathy brings higher order thinking which embraces creativity and active citizenship.

What role does innovation play in education change?

Innovation is agency in action. It gives voice to learning as an interative & emergent process that encourages divurgent thinking. This upskills us to navigate the changing stages of purposeful lives. Change is the only thing that is certain. And as such e² believes education is infinitely greater than any curriculum. So education needs to embrace change.

Three HundrED innovations you love. (and Why?)

1. TC - Templestowe College "Take Control" program - it was one of the original innovation highlghts in 2016 and was led by a mentor who I greatly admire. 2. Earthcraft - political simulation game. As a political science educator I am passionate about the importance of tomorrow's leaders learning to contribute meaningfully. 3. Big Picture learning - because it values learning beyond school.
