A Year as an Entrepreneur
The Junior Achievement's Company Program is a program in which students can build real businesses as part of their studies in comprehensive or high school. HundrED will be following the process across three Finnish schools. The Program will have it's national final in Helsinki 19.-20.4.2017, where the best companies compete!
What is the idea of the experiment?
JA Company Program is a program in which 160 schools and 4500 young people from all over Finland will participate. Students ages fifteen to nineteen will attend the program as part of their regular school studies. They will be able to trial their ideas in practice and build a sense of responsibility and contribution.
What are the skills that will be taught during the trial year?
During the trial year students will learn important entrepreneurship skills such as scheduling, collaborating and financing.
How will the experiment be scheduled and how will it be put into practice?
The experiment will begin in schools in August - September 2016 and the business ideas will be finished by the end of October, after which multiple national competitions and regional events will be organised. The school year will culminate with a semifinal that will lead to the Uskalla Yrittää final arranged in Helsinki 19.-20.4.2017.
